Cooked chicken is ok: As of 2016, transmission of Zika virus is through sharing of mosquitoes, sharing of bodily fluids, having sexual activities, and some uncertain ways (some lab technicians handling the virus have gotten infected). Zika is behaving like an STI (sexually transmitted infection), in that a guy with Zika in his semen can be infectious for many months... and can infect many women if he has many partners.
