Zika virus: The CDC is recommending screening for pregnant women who visited Brazil because many of those infected will be asymptomatic. There is no commercially available test for Zika and only a few state health departments and the CDC are capable of testing for Zika. If you are not pregnant, you do not need to be screened. If pregnant see your MD. http://www.cdc.gov/zika/pregnancy/question-answers.html

Blood test: There is a blood test for Zika, however currently it is only being processed at the CDC Diagnostic Lab and a few state health departments. If one is to get sick from Zika, symptoms will typically arise between a few days to one week of an exposure and will typically last about one week. If you have any concern for it, see you doctor, especially if you are pregnant.
