Zika epidemic's here: Everyone should worry about the Zika epidemic because it's arrived in the U.S. in 2016. In addition to being spread by mosquitoes, it's spread via sex. Sex means very close contact, but it is not yet known whether or not saliva is contagious. Mom can get a blood test to check for Zika. If Mom has it, a mosquito that bites Mom here at home may transmit it to family members that it also bites later.
