Oh sesame-oid.: The mere fact that you are aware of the many possible problems with sesamoid surgery, is telling. It is safe to say that you can almost guarantee post-operative issues, if the sesamoid bones are removed. Of course, depending on your pre-operative symptoms, this may be an equitable exchange. These potential problems should be discussed in detail with your surgeon before your consent.
