A member asked:

Is it normal for a person with a suspected neoplasm to ha ve a significant jump in their wbc's? or should an infectious process be more suspected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood work: The complete blood count is not the key to diagnosing any cancer apart from the leukemias. The various white cells fluctuate wildly even hour to hour. Let the workup proceed.
