Acute pharyngitis: You have a 'sore throat' or what we call acute pharyngitis. Even though you don't have tonsils, you can still get 'Strep' as well as any other number of infections (viruses mostly). I would recommend going to a doctor to get a throat culture-then, you can get the best treatment once the cause is identified.
