Bleeding ear: Leave the ear alone. DO NOT PUT HEAT TO THE EAR. Ask your doctor about taking an antihistamine such as Benadryl (diphenhydramine) (makes you sleepy) or Zyrtec. Purpose is to reduce the swelling and keep you from digging in your ear. In a few days there may be some blood crusts. Try baby oil 3 drops twice a day to remove this. If pain iworse, need to see doctor before the ear closes up - can be very painful

Ear drum injury: Sorry to hear about your problem. You may have accidentally injured your eardrum by going to far in with the Q-tip. You should make an appointment to see your doctor so that he or she can look in your ear and examine your ear drum. If untreated it may lead to permanent damage of your hearing. Good luck.
