A member asked:

Is it possible to get a naegleria fowleri infection from swimming in an indoor pool in quebec city that seemed like it wasn't very clean?

Unlikely: You are very unlikely to get amebic infection from a public swimming pool. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.

Very unlikely: As of September 2015 there were reported to have been no case-reports of Primary Amebic Meningoencephalitis Caused by Naegleria fowleri in Canada. It is found primarily where there is warm water. REF: https://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/articles/two-us-residents-die-after-contracting-brain-eating-amoeba/56577
