Not impossible just : Not impossible, just VERY unlikely. Naegleria fowleri is occasionally present in bodies of fresh water - ponds, stream, lakes. Very very uncommon in treated municipal water supply. If you FORCE contaminated water into the back of your nose (from diving into a pond feet first), you may get fatal brain infection from Naegleria - but very very uncommon. Even less common from a simple shower
