Depends...: The d-dimer test could be abnormal for many reasons, not just blood clot. If your doctor has a high clinical suspicion that you have a blood clot in your leg, you can take blood thinners while waiting for your ultrasound on Monday. If the clinical suspicion for clot is low, then it is ok to wait until Monday. Good luck!
