Can pinworms get into the eyes, ears or nose?

Not usually: They generally infect the gastrointestinal tract, however when the burden of infestation is high they can travel to extra intestinal sites like the vagina and even the nose likely from scratching the anal areas and transferring the eggs inadvertently to the nose. Good hand hygiene including trimming the nails and prompt treatment of patient & close family contacts when indicated will help.
