Working correctly: Yes, that is the point of hormonal contraception--to prevent you from ovulating. As long as you are using the Nuvaring according to the instructions, there's no need for you to verify the lack of ovulation with OPKs. In addition, the continuous amounts of progesterone present are making your uterine lining non-receptive to a potential embryo.
