The vomiting and: swollen nodes may have a common underlying cause but vomiting by itself won't cause achy or swollen glands. Infection in the head or neck area can cause swollen lymph nodes (glands). Sometimes infections are associated with nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. Strep throat and mono are 2 examples of this.
