Are there any possible causes for geographic tongue? could it be from a gluten sensitivity?

Geo tongue- common: Geographic tongue is quite common and to my knowledge has no known causes, but there have been suggested inherited links as well as some proposed links with eczema and psoriasis, both chronic skin disorders which have a genetic link. Gluten sensitivity is more commonly seen with autoimmune type disorders, so possible connection, but if you are concerned about gluten, get screening blood test.

Not really: Geographic tongue is sometimes genetic (meaning it runs in families) but is benign and usually not related to underlying medical condition. There are some rare cases of it being related to psoriasis. It is not related to gluten sensitivity.
