What could cause extreme sensitivity to salt? my tongue and lips go numb whenever i eat foods with salt.

Sensitivity: I doubt there is any other reason for this other than an idiosyncratic reactivity to the exposure of your tongue to salt seeing that you report no other unusual reactions to other spices or foods.
