Its been around 8 days with the flu now, how long does this last? i am coughing and blowing nose with clear phlegm

Cold vs influenza: Were you diagnosed with the flu? often we call colds the "flu", but influenza is actually a viral infection, and the treatment for that is different than for other bugs. (Clear phlegm indicates that this is unlikely a bacterial infection that needs antibiotics.) allergies can cause these symptoms, and if you haven't tried antihistamines, they may be helpful.
