A member asked:

I've had a red blotch on top of my foot for about 5 years. it doesn't hurt or itch most of the time, but the skin is more sensitive to touch. any idea?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nondiagnostic: A red blotch is not enough of a description required to make a diagnosis. One would like to know the size, shape, flatness or raised configuration, whether the redness is homogeneous versus multicolored, any change over the years, etc. A physician or dermatologist would need to inspect this blotch in order to advise you.
