As often: As often as your Dentist finds prudent for your health. For most people an examination and professional cleaning every 6 months is prudent. Some people need more frequent cleanings. But don't let it go more than a year between examinations. Small problems are easy (inexpensive) to fix. By the time something hurts, it's a big (expensive) problem.

Dental visits: The frequency of dental exams and cleanings is determined by each persons oral health. Kids and healthy adults should have dental exams and teeth cleaning twice a year. Many people need to see the dentist more frequently. The best dental recommendations are made by a dentist following an exam.

No More than 1 year: Most dental problems can be treated very simply and less expensively, if found early. This includes the routine things like cavities and gum disease. What you may not realize is that oral cancers are becoming more common. The best advice is that these cancers are usually easily treated early and can be deadly, if found more advanced. Many times the exam can be scheduled with a dental cleaning.

It depends...: .. everyone is a bit different. Since we know nothing about you or your medical history or the condition of your teeth, it is hard to say. Why not visit a local dentist, have an exam, have your teeth restored as necessary, and ask them?
