A member asked:

How often does my 6yr old have to visit the dentist in a year?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Kid's Dental Visits: 2x/year. Because of the the density of baby tooth enamel, and sugars in most kid's diets, if decay starts it progresses very rapidly. Need professional cleaning, fluoride treatments, x-rays when warranted, oral hygiene instruction, evaluation of growth/development/exchange of baby for permanent teeth. Also, your child should have 1st screening exam with Orthodontic Specialist at age 7.
