If arthritis or fx p: If just dislocation with out fracture fixation by screw or k-wire would be beneficial. If lisfranc injury involves significant displactement and fracture fusion in the long run may be more beneficial.

NOT NEW: Fusion is not new. There are definitely two camps regarding screw repair vs. fusion. Depending upon the extent of the injury, fusion might be better. And, there is a certain percentage of people who had screw repair, who eventually need a fusion b/c of arthritis following the repair.
