Your symptoms, the: red patches seen on cystoscopy & the necessity of doing a biopsy are NOT proof that you have bladder cancer. Only the RESULTS of the biopsy will distinguish bladder cancer from other problems that can cause the findings you describe. Interstitial cystitis, an inflammatory disorder of the bladder, is at least as likely a cause. I do wish you the best! Dr. Anne
