Atypical: Atypical cells means that there are some cells in the urine that look unusual but not abnormal enough to diagnose recurrence of bladder cancer. Often these atypical cells do not turn out to be recurrent cancer (possibly due to inflammation or other changes), but it is important to follow up with your urologist to be sure.
