A member asked:

I wore high heels and now i have a numb big toe?

Possible answer: The heels can place the big toe in a position to compress the nerve to the big toe. If that is the case stop the use of the shoe and let the area rest ...The sensation should come back in a few days if it get worse or does not improve see your doctor for a full evaluation.

Nerve pressure: Heels can cause toe numbness either by forcing the toe to bend more that it wants, or if the vamp pressures the top of the toe. Either way, it's nerves can be injured by pressure. They will usually heal if no further injury occurs. There is little you can do but wait....And wear flats.
