Nerve pressure: Heels can cause toe numbness either by forcing the toe to bend more that it wants, or if the vamp pressures the top of the toe. Either way, it's nerves can be injured by pressure. They will usually heal if no further injury occurs. There is little you can do but wait....And wear flats.
