Probably BV: MetroGel usually is prescribed only for bacterial vaginosis, so your doctor must think you have BV. However, oral treatment with metronidazole is much mor effective than MetroGel. BV may or may not be an STD -- there is debate about it among experts. But BV is often associated with other STDs (gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomonas), so make sure you were tested for them.
