Probably not tonsils: I think it's more likely there's one unifying disease process here-and with tongue ulcers, I would strongly recommend going back to the doctor. I would say you needed a biopsy for a full evaluation of what you have. Things may have started out with a case of 'tonsillitis' but it was probably this primary disease. Not sure if there's any history in the family of lupus or other rheumatologic disease
