Yes: The unhealthy breathing patterns and vascular effects of stress hormones combine to do that very often. Proper breathing clears out old air allowing better O2 levels. Please consider CBT or other good psychotherapy to get this under control. Rx may be helpful - but learning skills is a big part. Best!
