If the man has: normal fertility but the couple is having trouble conceiving, the woman's reproductive system will be evaluated. One tool is ultrasound. If there are more follicles than normal early in the cycle, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome may be the cause. The total number & maturity of follicles is important & so are certain reproductive hormone tests. I encourage u to talk w/ your doctor. Dr. Anne
