A member asked:

There is a dominant follicle seen in right ovary measuring 18 mm means what?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dominant follicle.: Ovulation usually occur from the dominant follicle which can be in either ovary. The egg is usually released when the follicle is between 18mm to 22mm. The context for which your follicle size is measured is not clear, however, assisted reproduction such as intrauterine insemination is performed once follicle is 18mm or more. Good luck.
