I was strep positive friday and started amoxicillin. now its tuesday and have sinus pressure like crazy. can you get a sinus infection while on amoxic?

Yes but: Even if amoxicillin does not work, the infection does not usually get worse while on it. If you have nasal congestion , perhaps a few days of nasal decongestant spray may help. But if the problem persists or worsens, call your doctor since the problem may not be from the sinus at all.
