I was prescribed cephalexin for a cyst- 3 a day for 7 days. on day 3, i have developed a yeast infection. can i ask for diflucan (fluconazole)?

Yes: Sure, no problem. Fluconazole (Diflucan) and cephalexin (Keflex) won't interfere with each other. However, you should first check with the doctor who prescribed the cephalexin and see if s/he would like to check for sure whether you have a yeast infection and/or approve the treatment.
