Be happy: A patient who is hypothyroid and has a high TSH, who then starts on thyroid hormone supplements and now has a normal TSH... can see her primary care doctor or her endocrinologist regularly to adjust the medication dosing and to see if there is any unusual reason for the hypothyroidism. Dosing may need more frequent adjustments in the beginning.

Hospital records questionable. Is it possible to have a TSH of .02, then TSH 5.56 two days later? Symptoms match readings both days. But is this even possible, or is one of these likely wrong? My understanding is TSH won't change that fast?
