Pleuritic chest pain: Several potential causes from benign self-limiting viral to serious disorders such as pulmonary embolus ; details of your doctors history examination and tests would be important. I assume A detailed evaluation was performed, you should thus be able to be given a working diagnosis, if not then I advise further immediate evaluation to exclude serious life-threatening conditions
