Insomnia: In reality the real answer is no. Insomnia may need behavioral and mental health work to learn how to sleep naturally. Most sleeping pills are designed for sparingly little use. Many become ineffective with chronic use and are addictive as well. Using too many pills for sleep can lead to an obsession about the fear of not falling asleep. Sleep aids: Medicines include otc remedies (benadryl) to prescriptions such as valium, ambien, and lunesta (eszopiclone). The prescriptions all have some risk of addiction. There are also herbal/ natural options such as valerian root and melatonin.
