Hiccoughs: Hiccoughs are generally benign but if they are occurring with the frequency that you are saying that they are, I would definitely have him seen by his pediatrician. Have them get a good listen to his chest, etc. Irritation of the nerve to the muscle between the lungs and the abdomen (the diaphragm) usually causes the hiccough. It's generally not worrisome, but I think that he should be evaluated
