Needs evaluation: I think it would be very important for a medical professional to look at this to help determine 'what' it is... Sometimes an insect bite can become secondarily infected - so this redness needs to be properly evaluated. Could this bug bite have been from a tick? There are certain tick borne diseases as well that one needs to be on the look out for. An Infectious Diseases doc is specialized for that
