Yes: Most of the time it is best to deliver the baby at or after 39 weeks, by then the baby does the best. However sometimes there are medical reasons why it is better for mom and baby to be delivered prior to 39 weeks. Delivery between 38 and 39 weeks is quite safe for the baby.
