Never assume: Your condition is one where your lumbar spinal canal is tight. That does not mean the rest of the spine is that way.If your doc thinks it worthwhile they can study those ares but without any physical findings they are unlikely to find a problem.

So my mri of thoracic shows ectasia of the central canal in the upper to mid cervical spinal cord what does this mean?
I have chronic low back pain. The X-ray showed spinal stenosis. I will be having an MRI next week. I am unsure if MRI shows cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine or if eacharea is ordered a separate mri? I have intermittent neck pain also.
