Yes and No.: Genital herpes is transmitted via sexual activities, because the infected person has the virus on his or her sex organs. Herpes in non-genital locations would thus be transmitted via non-sexual activities... but is also transmitted via sexual activities if a person does sexual activities with non-sexual parts of his or her body.
