Very unlikely: It sounds like you are on the right track. The PPIs have helped, but you still have some residual reflux symptoms. This is common and may be improved by diet or other lifestyle approaches (elevate head of bed, etc). However, with persistent symptoms you should have an upper endoscopy (EGD) to assess the esophagus and stomach on treatment, and this procedure would also screen for gastric cancer.
