Specializes in Diagnostic Radiology

A blow to the head which results in changes in mental state, balance, and headache is diagnosed as a concussion. It does not require visible injury to the head or loss of consciousness. If the injury occurred at school, it's best to have the team doctor evaluate and document the injury. Otherwise, let your primary doctor know of your injury so that it can be documented and followed.
