Regular monitoring: Barrett's esophagus is considered a pre-malignant condition for which regular surveillance with upper endoscopy should be performed. Make sure to discuss with your gastroenterologist how frequently you need to be checked - sometimes as frequently as every 1-5 years depending on pathology and prior evaluations. Best to be safe!
