Hi, could you tell me more about the laser tabeculoplasy eye procedure and associated risks? also whether it's requires general anaesthetic?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Topical anesthetic: In this procedure, the laser beam is aimed at the outflow portion of the eye for its internal fluids - opening up to allow better flow. It is done with topical anesthetic only as an outpatient procedure. Usually there is no pain. The surgeon will take great care to aim the beam only at the right spot. The only downside is the occasional ineffective treatment. Most work well.
