Lasik?: I believe this is what you are talking about. The procedure has been used for about a decade or so and seems to have been refined. The cost varies between 2k-4k and takes about 5 min per eye total. The risks are dry eyes, blurred vision, halos, shadows, infection, pain in the eye to name common ones.
