Why ever ????: Please never infer adult ideas about taste to an infant. Such additives have no food value and can trigger allergic reactions. Babies have a limited sense of taste which you can understand if you ever tried any of the usual baby formulas. Tastes like chalk water to me. Babies are not little adults and early feeding is just a training stage to get them to table foods.
