High heart rate.: All things considered, a normal heart rate would be 60-100 beats per minute, so 108 is a bit high, especially since you left the gym quite some time ago. Smoking a cigarette can transiently raise the HR and blood pressure, but if this rate is sustained, then it requires investigation.
