A member asked:

I have a small swollen node on the left side of the back of my neck. i also have had severe migraines over the course of the past month. could they be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably unrelated: The two are probably not related. Small nodes in the neck are not uncommon and may develop due to issues in the scalp like dandruff. It is generally not feasible to nail the cause of migraines. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.
