Insufficient data: "Headache" is like "car trouble": Vague & uninformative by itself. There are H/As to worry about (rare), & H/As that may be severe but not a sign of a dangerous condition (common). Look up migraines (eg on the American Headache Society website). If your wife's headache fits the criteria, it will go away. See your PCP about getting meds to treat the next one.

Different thing: Migraine is NOT simply a BAD headache - it's specific unique patterns and has specific causes, Tx's, etc. You can read online but for now - any other symptoms? If it's causing problems like lack of sleep, nausea, etc. go to a clinic or Dr. An exam will help define and treat hopefully. Also cool or warm compresses, water, OTC pills quiet/dim room may all help. Best!
