PeripheralNeuropathy: is the usual term for what you describe. The most common basis for this is elevated blood glucose, Diabetes Mellitus, routinely missed by fasting blood glucose value because it is ↑ed only after eating, until problem is advanced. Better way to detect: Hemoglobin-A1c which reflects average glucose over last 2-3 months; optimal ≤5.0% (though ADA defines DM as >6.5% & recommends treatment to 7.0%).
