Adhesions/scarring: The major complication from third degree burns would be the scar tissue that develops as the wound heals. You want the healing to occur, but you can't control where the new tissue is being laid down; therefore, adhesions/scarring can occur. This doesn't always happen but when it does, it can lead to tightness, discoloration, and sometimes nerve irritation.
