110-160 is normal: A heart rate in the 110s-160 region is completely normal. Sometimes you might hear the heart rate dip down or get even faster than the baseline. This is called a deceleration (slowing down) or acceleration (speeding up). Accelerations are good. Depending on the amount of fluid, or baby's movement, you can also have decelerations. You doctor will order more tests if the heart rate is abnormal.

Heart rate: Heart rate can increase during pregnancy but the Gynecologist should be able to control this. Please contact the Gynecologist and explain your concern. The doctor should have you seen as soon as possible -- most likely things are OK and you can relax a bit. Hope all goes well - please keep me posted.
